In the protagonist's parallel universe, the sun is facing a crisis and is about to go out, putting Earth on the brink of extinction. A united government is formed to address the situation, and the protagonist joins, developing an artificial sun after years of research, just before the real sun dies. Unfortunately, it's too late, and Earth is plunged into darkness. The protagonist wakes up 30 years in the past, just after the college entrance exams, and immediately begins preparing the artificial sun. A year later, a global technology conference is held by the united government to seek solutions for the solar crisis. The protagonist enters with his artificial sun, facing skepticism and resistance. With the help of like-minded individuals from around the world, the artificial sun is successfully created.
