Xu Mengxuan, rendered foolish by a car accident, witnesses her disabled father and maid's affair. She tells her mom, but her mom does not trust her. A second head injury restores her intellect. But the doctors warn that she risks mental collapse. Isolated, she exposes their ugliness.
