Xu Qinghuan gives birth to a child in the hospital, but her sister Xu Yanxi deceives her, claiming the baby was a stillbirth, and spreads rumors that Xu Qinghuan is pregnant out of wedlock. This leads to gossip, and the family faces public disgrace. To avoid further scandal, the family plans to send Xu Qinghuan abroad. Meanwhile, Xu Yanxi uses Xu Qinghuan's child to secure her position as the future Mrs. Mo, the most envied woman in the city. Four years later, Xu Qinghuan returns to the country quietly for business. She narrowly escapes an assault from Boss Li, but in a twist of fate, she runs into her son, An An, whom she thought she lost. Mo Jingyuan, the male lead, is looking for his son and meets Xu Qinghuan. He feels an inexplicable attraction to her. With An An's help, the two eventually come together.
