The middle of the season, where the conflict escalates.
As a child, Ji Xi got lost and unknowingly wandered into the impenetrable Taohua Valley, where she secretly promised her heart to the young leader, Huan Jiuyuan, vowing to meet again in the capital. After Ji Xi left, the valley was destroyed in a brutal massacre ordered by the crown prince, and Huan Jiuyuan's family was wiped out. Believing Ji Xi betrayed them, he grows to despise the royal family. But Ji Xi, heartbroken and longing, continues her search for the man she once loved.
