Alicia De Luca returns home after years abroad, widowed and pregnant, to attend her brother Lorenzo's engagement party. A misunderstanding occurs when Carolina, the bride-to-be's mother, mistakes Alicia for Lorenzo's mistress. Sofía, the bride, storms into Lorenzo's mansion and physically confronts Alicia. She drags Alicia to the engagement party, humiliating her in front of the guests. The situation escalates until Lorenzo arrives to reveal the truth.
