大山裏走出的企業家陸衍，十年前掏空家產爲陸家村橋鋪路，造福鄉里。不料，陸成材爲了利益，竟聯合村民強徵陸家祖地、砍倒百年杏樹、拆毀陸家房屋，將陸母氣得心臟病發。而陸衍求一句公道而不得，心寒徹骨，憤而拆毀了自己出資修建的大橋，舉家搬離。
