林夕滿心期待透過大學生活，掙脫家庭束縛、追尋屬於自己的人生。然而母親林桂蘭依舊事事插手、強行安排她的選擇。不願被掌控的林夕屢次反抗，母女衝突越演越烈，最後決裂分開。傷心的林桂蘭向自己的母親傾訴，才猛然醒悟，看見自己過度控制的問題。靠著割不斷的親情，兩人慢慢放下對立、打開心門。這段故事提醒大家：親人之間不該用自身標準強加於人，懂得尊重與傾聽，才是化解矛盾的良方。
