Lucy Nelson’s son, Nathan Baker, has a heart condition, and she spoils him excessively. Nathan maliciously throws nails on the road, causing an accident involving a car transporting a donor heart. Lucy and Nathan harshly blame the driver, delaying the delivery, unaware that the heart was meant to save Nathan’s life. This chain of events ultimately leads to Nathan’s death. Devastated and full of regret, Lucy finally realizes her mistakes.
