Victor Carter, a live-in son-in-law, holds a celebration for Ava Hart after she is admitted to Kenton Univ. But he hides his affair and his illegitimate daughter, Tessa Carter. On enrollment day, Ava meets Tessa, who steals her spot with a donation certificate and claims Victor as her father. Ava discovers Tessa’s bag was the one she had repaired for Victor, revealing the truth that he failed to recognize his own daughter.
