Ray Crane and Ella White enter the courthouse for their 99th divorce. This time, he refuses to reconcile. During the proceedings, he discovers hidden love letters proving that she truly loves him. However, he can no longer tolerate Ella constantly using divorce as a way to exert control in their marriage. As she sides with her childhood friend and ignores repeated schemes against Ray, he accepts an overseas invitation and decides to start anew.
