In the 1980s, rural woman Zhou Xiufang and her daughter Wanwan struggled to survive, sending all their earnings to Zhou's husband, Li Zhendong, who worked away from home. They hoped Li would return and provide a better life for them. Instead, on Chinese New Year's Day, Li came back with Zhao Mengjie, the daughter of steel mill director Zhao Baogang. He demanded a divorce from Zhou Xiufang, forced her out of their home, and pushed Wanwan to the ground. When Wanwan regained consciousness, she found herself reincarnated as a 7-year-old girl, killed by her own father. As the "chosen one" with supernatural powers, Wanwan decided to take revenge and protect her mother, Zhou Xiufang.
