Opening of the season — the setup and the first turn.
Orphaned since childhood, Ning Xi faced hardships alone. When her best friend Ye Qing, amidst a corporate crisis, resorted to drugging Ning Xi and selling her to Mr. Wang, Ning Xi fought back, injuring Mr. Wang and escaping his grasp. However, she was then inadvertently pulled into the room of Huo Chengjin, who was also under the influence of an aphrodisiac. Unexpectedly, they shared an intimate moment. Upon waking up, Ning Xi sought clarification from Ye Qing. While eavesdropping, she overheard a conspiracy between Ye Qing and her ex-fiancé Lu Yi, who had faked his own death. Enraged, Ning Xi confronted them, but was subsequently injured by Ye Qing and trapped in a fiery inferno. On the brink of death, she was miraculously rescued by Qin Zhenhai, who had recently returned from abroad.
