The middle of the season, where the conflict escalates.
In her fifties, Yang Liu unknowingly falls for the conman Wang Lei. Blinded by love, she forces her daughter, Chen Qingqing, to marry him to "cure" his paralysis. When Wang Lei's daughter, Wang Lian, pushes them both down the stairs during an argument, they die. To Chen Qingqing's shock, she wakes up and finds herself reborn to the moment when Wang Lei and Wang Lian move into her family home. Determined to protect her mother, she tries to drive them out, but Yang Liu misunderstands and accuses her of causing trouble. With Wang Lei and Wang Lian settling in, Chen Qingqing starts gathering evidence to expose them.
