To safeguard the Kingdom of Avaloria, Loki renounces his divinity. Honoring the late king's last will, he vows to help the young Queen Freya rule the kingdom and forgive her a hundred times. Manipulated by Surt, Freya gradually strips Loki of his authority, military command, and dignity. Upon the hundredth betrayal, Loki fulfills the pact. He relinquishes all that remains of his station, hands over the annulment of their betrothal, and resolves to leave the royal court...
