After a tragic car accident claims her parents, Jiang Wei loses her voice and withdraws emotionally. With the help of Shen Que, a former celebrity also affected by the accident, she learns sign language and regains her independence. Over the next five years, they fall in love. On Valentine's Day, excited to share news of her recovery, Jiang Wei overhears Shen Que telling his friends he's marrying someone else and that their relationship was just a fling. Heartbroken, she runs away, unaware that his words were part of a plan to push her away due to a hidden cancer diagnosis.
