진예린은 형편없는 남편에게 시집가 홀로 병원에서 아이를 낳게 된다. 그러나 딸을 낳았다는 이유로 시어머니와 남편은 아이를 인신매매범에게 팔아넘기고 만다. 그런데 간호사의 부주의로 인해 하예원과 진예린의 아이가 서로 바뀌게 되고, 그렇게 두 아이의 인생은 전혀 다른 방향으로 뒤바뀌기 시작한다.
