White Mermaid: The Golden Curse

Centuries ago, deep beneath the sea, before the Golden Scales and the White Tide had fallen into a blood feud, the White Tide and the Golden Scales were Gatekeepers who had stood side by side for generations. The two young female leaders once shared a bond that transcended life and death: Elara of the White Tide and Aurelia of the Golden Scales. They were mermaids, leaders, comrades-in-arms, and the only companions each had ever truly acknowledged in her heart. They had survived together the blood and fire of a childhood massacre, and had once imagined together a beautiful future that would no longer have to be sustained by seals, sacrifices, and bloody border wars. Yet when faced with an ancient forbidden resurrection spell, they diverged—and ultimately walked into different abysses.
