Alice habiskan semua simpanan demi menyelamatkan suaminya Michael yang menghidap kanser hati. Michael menyangka Alice nazak, berpaling kepada perempuan simpanan, membazir duit dan menghalau Alice. Peluang pemindahan hati tiba, dia menolak walaupun hati sudah didermakan. Alice buang laporan perubatan, tetapi Michael menemuinya dan tersentak: pesakit sebenar ialah dirinya, hancur harapannya.
