Opening of the season — the setup and the first turn.
After being accepted back into the Shen family, Shen Fanxing is betrayed by her adopted sister, Shen Nian, who drugs her and sends her to the CEO of the Li Group. However, she ends up having a one-night stand with Li Tingye. Shen Nian impersonates her, takes her daughter, and attempts to kill Shen Fanxing. Shen Fanxing narrowly survives and returns six years later with her son. At the airport, she and her son unexpectedly meet Li Tingye's daughter. Li Tingye, suspicious of Shen Fanxing's intentions, is forced to interact with her. Shen Nian tells him that Shen Fanxing killed his father and that her son is the late CEO's illegitimate child. Li Tingye becomes wary, suspecting Shen Fanxing wants the Li family's wealth. However, as he continues to test her, he gradually falls in love with her and starts pursuing her.
