Ji Fu, in place of her younger sister, marries the man she has secretly loved for years, Zhou Yuyan. On their wedding day, Zhou Yuyan leaves for abroad. Seven years later, he returns, and by then, Ji Fu has changed her name to Tang Ning. They unexpectedly have a one-night affair. Zhou Yuyan, who initially disliked her, slowly starts to develop feelings for her, but he remains unaware that the woman he has fallen in love with is actually his own wife.
