Lu Yao, the daughter of the richest family in the capital, witnesses her stepfather, Li Jiaming, cheating with his mistress, Tian Rong. In an attempt to silence her, Li Jiaming pushes her into the river, intending to kill her. By coincidence, Chen Yue enters Lu's Group with top honors. However, Li Jiaming secretly arranges for his daughter, Li Xinyi, whom he had with his mistress, to also join Lu's Group.
