On her wedding day, due to a deliberate arrangement by Chu Yanchi, Jian Ning discovers that her fiancé, Zhou Ziheng, has been having an affair with her stepsister, Jian Yuwei. Betrayed, Jian Ning is repeatedly humiliated by both of them. However, in order to reclaim her mother’s assets, which had been taken by the Jian family, she reluctantly agrees to marry someone else. She forces Chu Yanchi to go through with the wedding by threatening and coercing him. What Jian Ning doesn't know is that Chu Yanchi, her assistant, is actually the mysterious head of the Chu family.
