Zhang Yi, a disciple of Yujing Mountain, is exceptionally gifted and surpasses the Heavenly Dao realm after twenty years of cultivation. His grandfather, Zhang Daoheng, fearing ridicule for his own weaker cultivation, tricks Zhang Yi into leaving the mountain to marry and have children. Zhang Yi believes this is meant to motivate him and decides to pursue immortality. After descending, he saves Liu Shuangcheng, the head of the Liu family, using a golden elixir and remarkable techniques, astonishing everyone. When the Liu family faces a threat from the Xuanyin Sect, Zhang Yi accidentally defeats their enemies, raising suspicions of his extraordinary powers. The Xuanyin Patriarch tries to force Zhang Yi to use his abilities as compensation. At a critical moment, the Saintess of Qingyun Sect intervenes, rescues him, and makes a marriage pact while offering to cultivate together. Zhang Yi grows suspicious and decides to return to Yujing Mountain to clarify things with his grandfather.
