Truth follows 34-year-old insurance investigator Alice Monroe. Scarred by past romantic fraud, she uncovers a suspicious ten-million-dollar claim filed by Paul after his wife Violet supposedly drowned in Lake Michigan with no body found. Alice digs up evidence of long-term domestic violence, learning Violet faked her death to escape Paul’s abuse and gambling debts. Alice traps Paul and exposes his insurance scam.
