Their seemingly warm child‑oriented clinic hides an extortion ring. The group fabricates mental‑health diagnoses to conceal child trauma and household abuse. Hurt by marital and professional betrayal, Kara gathers incriminating records and audio evidence. She cooperates with the FBI to shut down Daniel’s unlawful racket. Once Daniel gets convicted, Kara opens a charitable sand‑play clinic for traumatized youngsters. When Daniel earns parole and his bitter partner Victor keeps threatening her, Kara stays determined. She persists in uncovering children’s buried pain and shielding vulnerable kids from the dark side of the therapy field.
