After drinking poison, Xia Dachuan is found by Lu Wanqing and others, who have come seeking revenge. Just as Xia Dachuan is about to reveal that Xia Zhiyi is actually Gu Ping'an, he is interrupted by Gu Hongyun. Xia Dachuan dies before he can speak, and while Lu Wanqing decides to let go of the past, Gu Hongyun shifts his hatred onto Xia Zhiyi.
