Cautious and conflict-averse graduate Ma Hexi takes a job as a safety officer at a construction company, working on a project led by young boss Yan Jiutang. Plagued by workplace bullying from senior supervisor Biao Shu and pressured by his girlfriend Tian Anna to save for an exorbitant betrothal gift, his life is miserable. During a shift, Ma uncovers safety hazards at the site, but the team is preoccupied with welcoming Fu Ruibo, son of Vice Mayor Fu Qianli. His repeated warnings to fix the issues are ignored, leading to a fatal accident—Ma dies saving his friend Niu Su. Miraculously, Ma revives in Fu Ruibo’s body.
