In near-future America, a global ecological crisis plummets female birth rates. To sustain population and stability, the federal law forces women aged 28+ to marry three legally defined husbands: one for housework, one for reproduction, and one for career assistance, stripping men of social dominance. Samantha, a 29-year-old independent New York finance elite, resents this instrumentalized marriage system but has to marry three diverse men under official and family pressure: obedient househusband Oliver, rebellious righteous boxer Marcus, and wise academic Leo.
