Lina Veyne, the wealthy heiress of a noble family, is forced into an engagement with Lucien, heir to the Morrow family, in exchange for a temporary reprieve for her own clan—like a songbird locked in a gilded cage. During a performance titled "Phantom" at the IRIS Club, she is stunned to discover that the dancer on stage, codenamed "Seven," is none other than Stian Quinn, her first love who supposedly "perished at sea" five years ago. In truth, it is all a cruel drama meticulously orchestrated by Lucien. He knows every detail of Lina and Stian's past, and he himself directed both the "death" five years ago and this very "reunion." Lina maneuvers on the outside, using her noble status to distract and misdirect; Stian endures in silence on the inside, collecting evidence from the depths of the mire. Working in concert—one from without, one from within—they are determined to bring down the cage that has imprisoned them both. In the final showdown, Stian and Lina stand side by side, and the evidence they hold ultimately upends this grotesque dark empire, bringing Lucien's ambitions to complete and utter ruin.
