In a scrap metal recycling station in an urban village, divorced mother Su Ran struggles to raise her daughter Xiaoman; appliance repairman Chen Mo also raises his son Zhiyuan alone, silently toiling away under the shadow of debt. The two children meet because of an old teddy bear, and the two adults are forced to live under the same roof because of repairing a refrigerator and splitting rent.
