Elite lawyer Yara is renowned in her firm for her unbeaten record. While visiting her hometown, she witnesses her childhood friend Shirley being abused by her husband, Wen. Now wielding influence, she turns the tables on Shirley. Consumed by greed, Shirley and her husband collude with project manager Zack to seize Yara’s family land and fraudulently claim demolition compensation, even inciting villagers to expel the family.
