The male lead, Chu Yang, who comes from the modern world, is mistakenly summoned by Su Daji from a parallel universe. To return to the modern world, Chu Yang strikes a deal with Su Daji, using the Spirit Record's ability to summon historical figures. He pretends to be the emperor of the Great Chu Dynasty and leads the already crumbling kingdom to its downfall.
